Sometimes, we consider rest as indulgent and tend to feel guilty when taking time for ourselves. Often, we forget how important it is to fill up our own love tank before we can give love to those to matter to us. So this Valentine’s we’re focusing on the importance of nurturing oneself with self-care.

1. Do something that makes you smile

2. De-stress by practicing your favourite fitness routine

Some of the best ideas for destressing may include hitting the gym, attending a pilates class, going for a run or practising any other sport.  You might want to be sure to apply your favourite anti-perspirant to protect yourself from perspiration too – preferably one with 48-hour protection.

3. Simply Treat Yourself

Give yourself a little something special without feeling guilty about it.  Fix yourself your favourite dinner.  There’s no need to over complicate matters, if pizza and wine is your thing, then go for it! 

4. Take A Break From Social Media

Social media can honestly be very tiring especially on Valentine’s Day. Try taking a break from social media at least for a few hours at night. Instead, focus on doing something that you are passionate about. 

At last, finish off your evening by wrapping yourself in a warm throw or blanket while you and your loved ones binge watch your favourite TV show.
