Christmas Chestnut Hummous

Ingredients

  • 250g roasted chestnuts
  • 125ml tahini
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 125ml water
  • juice of a lemon
  • 5 sage leaves
  • 60ml Olitalia extra virgin olive oil

Method

  1. In a food processor, blitz the chestnut until they form a fine powder.
  2. Once a powder, add in the other ingredients, and blitz until smooth.
  3. Put in a container and serve!

This makes a very smooth hummous, if you prefer a chunkier and more textured hummous, then blitz the chestnuts at the same time as the other ingredients. This will leave some bigger chestnut chunks.
