Baby Pesto Pasta

Ingredients

  • 40g fresh basil
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • 40g pine nuts
  • 30g Parmesan, freshly grated
  • 50ml olive oil
  • 3 tbsp of water, optional
  • 250g pasta, can be gluten free

Method

  1. Add the basil, minced garlic and pine nuts along with freshly grated Parmesan to a food processor or blender, and pulse.
  2. Once combined add olive oil and blend again until a sooth creamy texture is created. Add water if needed to create a smoother baby pesto.
  3. Meanwhile fill a medium saucepan with water and bring to boil over a high heat. Add chosen pasta and cook according to packet instructions.
  4. Drain the pasta and stir in the baby pesto sauce immediately – serve and enjoy!

This baby friendly pesto recipe makes a super quick lunch or dinner and is perfect for baby led weaning too!
