Ingredients
For the Chocolate Shell:
- 200g dark chocolate
For the Chocolate Mousse:
- 75g dark chocolate
- 10g butter
- 1 egg yolk
- 10g sugar
- 60g egg whites
For the Assembly:
- 4 scoops of Carte d’Or Intense Chocolate Ice Cream
Method
Make the Chocolate Shell
- Melt the dark chocolate in a bain-marie
- Pour a thin layer into half-sphere silicone molds, coating evenly
- Let set, the repeat for a second layer
- Refrigerate until firm, then carefully unmold
Prepare the Chocolate Mousse
- Melt the dark chocolate with butter
- In a bowl, whisk the egg yolk with sugar until pale
- In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form
- Gently fold the egg whites into the melted chocolate mixture
- Refrigerate until set
Assemble the Desert
- Fill one half-sphere shell with a scoop of Carte d’Or Intense Chocolate Ice Cream and a layer of mousse
- Gently place another chocolate shell on top to create a full sphere
- Serve immediately and enjoy the chocolate indulgence!
