The Jules Destrooper Retro Tin Butter Crisps is the showpiece. This golden brown, crispy butter wafer, with its iconic diamond pattern, is still baked according to a 19th-century secret family recipe. In 2006, this biscuit was honoured with the official VLAM quality mark: ‘Regional product from the Westhoek’.
In 1885, Jules Destrooper made his biscuits using only pure butter. And even now that is still in practice! Only pure milk is used to churn pure butter. It is completely natural and packed with natural nutrients. Additionally, true, pure butter is flavorful and full of flavor.
Fresh, full-flavoured barn eggs are used by Jules Destrooper. These eggs are laid by chickens with access to perches and laying nests, a layer of straw to scratch around in, and the required space to roam.
Jules Destrooper chooses refinery sugar since it has the best flavor. This pure delicacy was carefully chosen and sifted; it dissolves rapidly and doesn’t clump, making it perfect for our biscuit preparations!
Ingredients:
Wheat flour, sugar, butter (18%) (milk), barn eggs, sea salt, raising agent: ammonium carbonates. May contain traces of soy, almonds, hazelnuts and cashews. Packaged in a protective atmosphere.
