Chicco products are developed by the Baby Research Center. Center professionals work with parents and families to understand their needs and offer innovative solutions in all aspects of childcare.
Chicco Soothers make us of PhysioForma®, an exclusive shape that encourages correct development of the mouth and supports baby’s breathing.
IT ALL BEGINS IN THEIR MOUTH.
IT ALL BEGINS WITH PHYSIOFORMA®.
The anatomical and functional design of Chicco PhysioForma® pacifiers supports the correct growth of maxillary bones and the development of the oral muscle system. On top of that, it trains
all the mouth’s vital functions for healthy physiological growth.
- BREATHING: The soother must have a shape that guarantees the natural position of the tongue up and forward to enlarge the palate and ensure proper retro-lingual space for the physiological passage of air.
- SUCKING: The geometry of PhysioForma, positioned on the palatal arch (hard palate), stimulates the non nutritive sucking reflex. The soft silicone material ensures correct muscle mobility.
- SWALLOWING: The pacifier should have characteristics such as to stimulate as much as possible a vertical movement of the tongue towards the palate to favor the natural transition from infantile to mature swallowing.
- CHEWING: The geometry of the soother must promote proper development of the perioral muscles and a physiological widening of the palate as a necessary condition for the change and correct alignment of the teeth.
- PHONATING: The pacifier must have morphological characteristics aimed at building a good intraoral space, thanks to the position of the tongue, the correct position of the teeth and the mobility of the tongue itself.
